ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan will not further produce coal energy.

Addressing the virtual meeting of the Climate Ambition Summit on Saturday, he said that Pakistan's contribution in the climate change is less than one percent. "Pakistan is heading towards clean energy," he added.

The prime minister said that Pakistan would install hydro-power plants in place of coal. "We are increasing the number of national parks from 30 to 45. We have set a target to shift overall energy to 60 percent of clean energy. By 2030, 30 percent vehicles will be shifted to electricity," he declared.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan will take all-out steps to control the effects of climate changes. "Ten billion saplings will be planted in the next three months," he added.
