Pakistan will remain in grey list till next session, says FATF president

PARIS (92 News) – Financial Action Task Force (FATF) president Dr Marcus Pleyer has said that Pakistan will remain in the grey list till next session.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting on Thursday, he said that Pakistan had implemented 26, out of 27, action plans. "Pakistan has taken good steps to control money laundering."

He said that the meeting had reviewed the steps taken by Pakistan to sentence terrorists. "The news about money laundering through offshore companies and investment will be also reviewed," he maintained.

Marcus Pleyer said that the Pakistan government has been cooperating with the FATF since 2019.
