Pakistani actor Masood Akhtar passes away at 76

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistani senior actor Masood Akhtar has passed away in Lahore at the age of 76.

Masood Akhtar was under treatment in a private hospital of Lahore from last two months. He was suffering from lungs cancer. Earlier, he suffered from a heart attack after the sudden death of his son.

He had won ‘Tamgha-e-Imtiaz’ in 2005.

Alhamra Executive Director Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi has expressed grief on the demise of great legend. “Masood Akhtar served the field of art for his entire life. He had very friendly nature,” he added.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has also expressed grief on the death of Masood Akhtar. “He was a versatile actor. He impressed his fans from his art,” he concluded.
