LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem returned home from Dubai after knocking out Filipino opponent in first round and dedicated his victory to Kashmir. After his win against Filpino, in video message, he said that his goal is to become the world champion. “I’ve been training really hard for this fight. I knew I’ll be a world champion soon. I’ll keep on performing in future also to make my nation proud,” he said. The Pakistani boxer dedicated his victory to the Kashmiri brothers, who facing atrocities at the hands of the India military. “I’m really happy to win this fight in first round knockout. I had already announced that after winning the bout I’ll dedicate it to my Kashmiri brethren, so I’m dedicating this win to them,” he said in a video message after the win. On Friday, Muhammad Waseem defeated the Philippines’ Conrado Tanamor in the first round of their fight in Dubai. The fight was a one-sided affair from the start. Waseem launched the offensive from the start and began pounding Tanamor with series of punches from the get go. He managed to knock out the Filipino athlete in the first round. The Pakistani athlete dedicated his win to the people of Kashmir. Former World Boxing Council (WBC) silver champion Pakistani boxer made his come back in style as he knocked out his Conrado Tanamor in 82 seconds in Dubai at the Rotunda Rumble on Friday night. Waseem has braved 10 bouts now and only lost one, while this was his seventh win through knock-out.
