Pakistani boxer Waseem wins WBC Silver flyweight title

SEOUL (92 News) – Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem has on Sunday won World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver flyweight title in Seoul by defeating Filipino boxer Jether Oliva. Pakistan’s only professional boxer’s manager said that Mohammad Waseem is in his best shape for the most important bout of his life. The 28-year-old boxer belongs from Quetta and was reportedly prepared for the fight under famous trainer Jeff Mayweather. The Balochistan government has announced Rs 500,000 cash prize for the boxer. The pugilist had previously secured knockout wins in all three of his professional bouts and also had an impressive amateur record with 2014 Commonwealth Games silver medal and 2010 World Combat Games gold medal to his name.
