ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan has said Pakistani expatriate community in the US has made history by according historic welcome to Prime Minister Imran Khan. In a tweet on Monday, the special assistant thanked the Pakistani overseas in America and termed that Imran Khan has presented the vision of ‘Naya Pakistan’ to Pakistani community in the US in a purely public manner. She also said Imran Khan envisaged the establishment of a state on the pattern of Madina where rulers are accountable to people, to rid the country of the curse of corruption and where the state spends on poor and needy. Firdous Ashiq Awan said Imran Khan is the identity of Pakistan in the world and he always proved his opponents and critics wrong by his struggle and strong determination. In a statement, the PTI leader said that Pakistan’s foreign policy is taking a new turn under trustworthy and well-reputed leadership. He termed that PM Khan addressed a record-setting gathering of Pakistani community at Capital One Arena stadium. “Pakistan as a peaceful and sovereign country is introducing itself before the global community,” he said, adding that Pakistan is strengthening its relations with the world on modern lines. It is noteworthy that PTI sources claimed that over 20,000 people attended the historical gathering adding that the venue had a capacity of over 20,000 people but people were stood in the ground after filling up the seats.
