Pakistani Embassy asks citizens to take preventive measures in Colombo
COLOMBO (92 News) – The Pakistani Embassy in Colombo, Sri Lanka, advised its citizens to take certain precautionary measures in view of the current situation
Following deadly blast, the embassy warned its citizens from unnecessarily going out at public places in view of the current situation.
The embassy also urged Pakistani citizens to avoid going to crowded places to prevent facing any untoward incident.
Earlier today, Sri Lankan authorities on Thursday (April 25) revised the toll from Easter bombings down to 253, from the previous figure of 359, explaining that some of the badly mutilated bodies had been double-counted.
The health ministry said medical examiners had completed all autopsies by late Thursday, and had concluded that several victims killed in the series of attacks had been counted more than once.
Pakistan had strongly condemned the barbaric explosive attacks across Sri Lanka that caused numerous casualties and huge loss of innocent lives.
PM phones Sri Lankan counterpart, condemns terrorist attacks
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Imran Khantelephoned his Sri Lankan Counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe and strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that took place on Easter Sunday.
According to the Foreign Office, Prime Minister Imran Khan conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and profound prayers for the speedy recovery of the wounded.
“People of Pakistan were deeply grieved over the loss of precious lives and stood with their Sri Lankan brethren at this hour of grief,” he said.PM @ImranKhanPTI today telephoned his Sri Lankan Counterpart @RW_UNP.
