Pakistani legend singer Nayyara Noor passes away at 72

KARACHI (92 News) - Pakistan's legendary singer Nayyara Noor passed away at the age of 72.

Singer Nayyara Noor was ill for a few days. The funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered today at Defense area in Karachi at 4 pm.

Many other ghazals, poems and songs, including the ghazal ''Ae Jazba Dil Gar Mein Chaho'' sung by Nayyara Noor, reached the heights of popularity. Nayyara Noor also got the title of Bulbul-e-Pakistan.

Won many honors including Pride of Performance and Nigar Award for best services in the world of singing.

Political leaders and showbiz personalities including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, CM Punjab Pervez Elahi expressed grief over the death of Nayyara Noor.
