LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistani cricket team skipper Sarfraz Ahmad said on Monday that the team announced to donate Rs3.2 million for Basha-Diamer dam. Speaking to the journalists, the skipper mentioned that every player of the team will donate Rs0.2 million for Prime Minister-Chief Justice dam fund. He said that next generation will get benefit for the construction of dam. “We are fully prepared for the tournament, as far as match against India is concerned, we will give out best. Match against India is always a big game, but we are ready for it,” Sarfraz said. He added that momentum is the key and the team has high moral and hope to perform his best in the upcoming tournament. “The ICC Champions Trophy final against India is done and dusted; we won it then. It has been over 1.5 years, so now it will be a new game. We will try to play better cricket,” he termed. “I’m working heard on my batting, recently whenever I got the opportunity I have performed,” he said, commenting on his batting performance. Giving his views on Asia cup strategy, the skipper told, “we would prefer to bat first because it is very difficult to bat under light. The weather would be very hot and humid under light which will help pacers. So we will try to bat first or chose cording to the pitch.” The captain also refused the comment on Virat Kohli by saying it is their own issue so won’t comment on it. Commenting on Pakistan team’s selection, he said, the team is selected with input from all of us which includes Chief Selector, Head Coach and captain. Sarfraz explained that as far as professionalism in the team is concerned, Pakistan team is improving day by day, adding that out fitness level is increase and we are setting new benchmarks of fitness in Pakistan cricket.
