Pakistanis raises anti-India, Modi slogans in Seoul outside Indian HC

SEOUL (92 News) – Pakistani protesters raised anti-India and Modi slogans in Seoul over Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders’ arrival outside the Indian High Commission. A video surfaced in the social media showing BJP leader Shazia Ilmi confronting Pakistanis in South Korea’s Seoul. Pakistani community held a protest outside the Indian High Commission in the Seoul against Modi government’s abrogating Article 370 in Indian held Jammu Kashmir. The 3 minutes 25 seconds video shows Shazia Ilmi accompanied by a few other people stepping out of a taxi and heading towards the group, whose members continue to shout slogans like ‘Haq hai humara Aazadi’ (Freedom is our right) and ‘Hum le ke rahenge Aazadi’ (We will take freedom). The protestors raised anti-Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi slogans in Seoul by protestors when BJP and RSS leaders including Shazia Ilmi who was visiting the city. Shazia Ilmi tried to conflict and raised slogans in favour of India and Modi. The protestors then begin to call India a ‘terrorist’ to which the BJP leader. Meanwhile, the local police intervened into the matter and taken confronting Shazia Ilmi and her associates away from the location. The demonstration against India and PM Narendra Modi came following abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.

On August 5, the Indian government rushed through a presidential decree to scrap a special status for Indian-held Jammu Kashmir, hours after imposing a major security clampdown in the region. Amit Shah has announced to abrogate Articles 370 and 35A from its constitution, which gives special status and rights to the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. A day earlier, authorities in Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK) placed former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti and political figure Sajjad Lon under house arrest keeping in view the tense situation in the valley. The Indian government imposed curfew-like restrictions in the restive region. The examinations in all universities were postponed and internet services would remain suspended till August 15. A restriction on sale of petrol haD been imposed in Anantnag. Politicians protested against uncertain situation in the valley after all parties meeting in the valley. Farooq Abdullah speaking on the occasion said a befitting response would be given against independent identity of Kashmir. Taking to Twitter, Omar Abdullah said he was being placed under house arrest and that a similar process had already started for other leaders.
