ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said on Thursday that Pakistan’s economy was being held hostage by ego, arrogance and stubbornness of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Speaking to the journalists, Shehbaz Sharif said, “Imran Khan Niazi should set aside his ego, arrogance and stubbornness and concentrate on the economy.” “If time had not been wasted we wouldn’t have been facing such economic devastation,” he added. The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president also termed that he had made an offer to improve the economy since day one. He said that more adverse economic situation will be encountered by the nation if further time is wasted. Earlier today, Finance Minister Asad Umar on Thursday decided to quit his office.

In a tweet, he said that: “As part of a cabinet reshuffle, Prime Minister Imran Khan desired that I take the energy minister portfolio instead of finance. However, I have obtained his consent to not take any cabinet position.”

He said that he strongly believes that Prime Minister Imran Khan is the best hope for Pakistan and Inshallah will make a ‘Naya Pakistan’.

Responding to the resignation of Asad Umar, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that if PTI’s and Asad Umer’s policies were so good, and the problems were from PML-N government, then why was he asked to step down. “This is an admission by Imran Khan that his policies have created an economic crisis in Pakistan.
