Panama Leaks Case: Sh Rashid says nation looking towards SC for justice

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid has on Thursday said that the whole nation is looking towards the Supreme Court seeking justice and save our lives from corrupt rulers. Talking to media outside Supreme Court in Islamabad, he claimed that the court issued notice to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on his petition. The AML chief said: “Why cannot Nawaz Sharif be disqualified If other people can?” He said the asset details of PM Sharif are in the most disproportionate state. Sheikh Rashid said that the rulers lying about the prices of vegetable never realize how much people are demoralized with the inflation. He demanded to constitute a commission to investigate the allegations in the Panama Papers. The AML chief called upon apex court to disqualify the prime minister under Articles-62 & 63 of the Constitution. The Supreme Court issued a notice to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other over Panama leaks. A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain heard the petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Awami Muslim (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid, Barrister Zafar­ullah Khan of Watan Party and Advocate Asad. The case has been adjourned for two weeks.
