ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has on Tuesday submitted the record of a meeting that decided not to file an appeal against the court decision on Hudebiya Paper Mills reference. A five-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa resumed hearing of the case. During the proceedings, the counsel of the NAB submitted the minutes of the meeting that decided not to file an appeal against the court decision on Hudebiya Paper Mills reference. Justice Gulzar asked regarding the number of cases where the NAB not filed an appeal against the decision. The NAB prosecutor said that there are large number of cases in which appeals were not filed. Presenting his arguments, Salman Akram Raja, the counsel of Prime Minister’s children said that the records have proved about 12 million dirham. Justice Ijaz Afzal remarked that these are uncontroversial facts, adding that every agreement has mentioned the bank but 12 million dirham were received in cash. The court remarked that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif didn’t mention about the source of the London flats in his speech however, Hussain Nawaz had said that the flats were purchased from Qatari investment. Justice Ijazul Hassan remarked that the most important part of this story is Qatari investment. He remarked that the question is where did the investment for the London flats come from, adding that according to Hussain Nawaz they got the London flats through Qatari investment. The court adjourned the hearing till tomorrow (Wednesday).
