Panamagate case: PM’s sons submit another letter by Qatari prince

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, sons of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have on Thursday submitted another letter written by Qatari prince Hamad bin Jassim in the Supreme Court. A five-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa resumed hearing of the case. During the proceedings, Salman Akram, the counsel of Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz has submitted another letter in Supreme Court (SC) along with the reply. The letter presented the Qatari prince’s stance in a response to queries that were raised on his first letter. In the letter, Hamad bin Jassim said that his Mian Muhammad Sharif and his father were close friends and Mian Sharif had invested 12 million dirham in 1980 in cash, while US $8 million was to be paid to Sharif family in 2005. The letter further stated that certificates of offshore companies were handed over to the representative of Hussain Nawaz for property settlement. Hassan and Hussain Nawaz also submitted the documents of the sale and purchase of Azizia Steel Mill in Saudi Arabia and the factory in Dubai. On the other hand, Shahid Hamid, the counsel of Maryam Nawaz presented his arguments in the court. Shahid hamid submitted the transcript of an interview of Maryam Nawaz to a private TV channel in the court.
