Panamagate case: SC adjourns hearing till Monday

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court (SC) has on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of Panama Paper Case till Monday. A five-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa adjourned the case without any proceedings as one of the members of the bench Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh was admitted to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology after developing chest pain last night. Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said the blockage in one of the arteries of Justice Azmat has been removed without any stenting. He said that Justice Azmat is recovering but he will remain under observation of doctors for three or four days. Therefore hearing of the case is tentatively adjourned till Monday next. Earlier, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed had undergone successful angioplasty at Rawalpindi Institute Cardiology. General (r) Azhar Kyani carried out the angioplasty on him. He had been shifted to the ICU after the procedure. Doctors have advised him rest for two weeks. Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed is a member of the SC larger bench hearing the Panama Leaks case.
