Paragon case: LHC extends Saad Rafique’s interim bail till Nov 14
October 24, 2018
LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday extended interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman till November 14 in the Paragon Housing Society scam. A two-judge bench of the LHC heard the brothers’ petitions again today and extended their interim bail till November 14. Rafique, Salman and a NAB team appeared before the bench today for the hearing. Meanwhile, the court also directed to the NAB for informing the Khawaja brothers before issuing arrests warrants in other references. However, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned Khawaja brothers on October 26. Earlier on October 15, the LHC had accepted the PML-N leader and his brother’s petition for an interim bail after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had initiated a corruption probe against them. The LHC had prohibited NAB from arresting the brothers till October 24 (today). In the petition filed in the LHC, Rafique and Salman stated that NAB is harassing them and wants to arrest them. The two brothers further said that they had provided all record regarding allegations levelled against them.
