January 3, 2017
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The parents of minor housemaid have on Tuesday ‘forgave’ the Session’s Court Judge Raja Khurram Ali Khan who allegedly physically tortured their daughter. The father forgave the judge and his wife and said that he had “no objection” with the court granting bail to the suspects. Earlier, a 10-year-old maid was severely tortured by the family of an Additional Sessions Judge on the charge of misplacing a broom. Tayyaba told the police that the wife of Additional Sessions Judge Raja Khurram placed her hand on a burning hearth and struck a spoon on her eye. However, Additional Sessions Judge Raja Khurram had rejected the allegations. In the medico-legal report, the reason for the injuries were said to be a fall from stairs. On the other hand, Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi has taken notice of the incident and ordered the registrar to complete the inquiry within two days. The torture case was registered by I-9 police. Additional Sessions Judge Raja Khurram and his wife have been nominated in the case. PTI leader Shirin Mazari, in a Twitter message, has condemned the incident and appealed to the high-ups to provide her justice.
