ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The parliament’s joint session to discuss Pakistan’s role in the Yemen conflict has been postponed until 4pm on Thursday. Earlier, the session started with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq in the chair. PTI leader Shireen Mazari said: “The Yemen war is not our war. Our advice to the government is that the army should not go (to Yemen). As Muslims, we are duty bound to counter any threat to holy places in Saudi Arabia but there is no such threat today." MQM leader Tahir Hussain Mashadi said the ‘aggressors’ were the Saudis and the victims were the Yemenis. "Now the aggressors are asking another sovereign state, Pakistan, to come to provide military aid to Saudi Arabia." On Tuesday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had asked Iran to play its role in resolving the issue. The Iranian foreign minister is expected to reach Islamabad today.
