Parliament’s joint session delayed until Monday

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government has delayed the joint session of the parliament for four days. The session will now be held on Monday. PTI MNA Amir Dogar said that the decision has been taken due to arrangements for the funeral prayers for former first lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz. President Dr Arif Alvi had summoned the joint session of the parliament on Thursday at 4pm. He had to address the session. Begum Kulsoom Nawaz died on Tuesday after battling with cancer in London. Her funeral prayers will be offered in London on Thursday and in Jati Umra on Friday.
