Parties included in PDM were favoured in general elections, alleges JI ameer

LAHORE (92 News) - Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman alleged that the parties in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) were favoured in the general elections.

Expressing his views in the 'Meet the Press' on Thursday, he said that the parties that ended a running government and pushed the country to the crisis should apologize to the people. "There should be supremacy of the constitution in the country. The Form 47 is wailing that we want dictatorship, not the public opinion," he added.

He said that the missing of an accused makes him an oppressed one and there is need to address the issue. "Who is responsible for about 250 million out-of-school students? Education is not a business and there should be a uniform education system," he added.

The JI ameer said that education is a nation issue and a federal policy should be formed for it. He called for completing the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project.
