PAT not cooperating in Model Town tragedy probe, JIT writes to IGP Punjab
LAHORE (92 News) – The joint investigation team (JIT) has written a letter to IGP Punjab Mushtaq Sukehra, stating that the Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) and its leaders are not cooperating with it with regard to the probe into the Model Town tragedy.
The JIT headed by Quetta CPO Abdur Razzaq Cheema is probing the incident.
The Toba Tek Singh DPO and one each representative of the ISI and IB are also in the JIT.
In reply to the letter, IGP Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera has asked the JIT to continue the probe.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Awami Tehrik has said that the JIT consisting of police representatives is not impartial.
