Patients suffer as doctors protest outside Children Hospital in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh Government Children Hospital became a centre of protest on Saturday as doctors and paramedical staff boycotted the OPDs demanding an increment in salaries. The doctors were of the view that the NGO had agreed to give a 30 per cent raise in the salaries. The children coming for far off places were not given the treatment due to the protest. The attendants expressed anger over the situation. Meanwhile, a dialogue also took place between the hospital administration, government employees and the NGO but was not a success. The hospital was inaugurated 23 days ago on December 15, 2016.
