ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) on Friday demanded the government to take strict action against anti-state Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) members.
According to the reports, PTM members Mohsin Dawar, Ali Wazir, Gulalai Ismail and others are busy to run campaign for separatism and anti-state activities.
PBC vice chairman Amjad Shah said that several members of the PTM were openly running a campaign for drawing youth towards separatism.
He said that the state should fulfill the demands of a person or group under the constitution but those fanning the separatist thinking comes under treason.
Amjad Shah further said that the masses were being provoked through empty slogans to defame state institutions, adding that the government should take strict action against the PTM members.
Gulalai Ismail booked for making anti-state speeches
The Shehzad Town police have registered a case against PTM leader Gulalai
Ismail for fomenting hatred against the state under the cover of the Farishta rape-cum-murder case.
According to the FIR, Gulalai had criticized the Army as well. It stated that the PTM leader had tried to invoke anti-state sentiments in Pashtuns in relation to the rape and murder of minor Farishta. The FIR was filed under section 6/7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Ali Wazir among 12 PTM workers booked for instigating people to rebellion
On May 6, the police have registered a case against 12 workers of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), including MNA Ali Wazir
, on the charge of instigating the people to rebellion.
The case has been registered under sections 120B, 506, 189, 148, 149, 500, 504 of the PPC and 16 MPO.
According to the FIR, the accused had gathered the PTM workers for Karam Tangi Dam at Shiwa and chanted slogans against the state. The accused had tried to create threats for national security by chanting ant-state slogans.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Peshawar and interaced with the students of various universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR), the army chief said Pakistan is blessed with dynamic and talented youth and future of the country belongs to them.
He said Pakistani nation and its armed forces have done a great job for fighting against terrorism and its time now to have its dividends through socio economic development in which education is most important.
“The progress towards enduring peace through socio economic development comes first and we shall fail all inimical forces and their conspiracies trying to undo our gains,” the COAS said.
