PCB dissolves selection committee after World Cup flop

LAHORE (92 News) - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) dissolved the selection committee over poor performance of the national team in the Asia Cup and now the World Cup.

Tauseef Ahmed was made the interim head of the selection committee after chief selector Inzamamul Haq resigned. The new selection committee will be announced soon.

PCB management committee chairman Zaka Ashraf has summoned and sought a reply from team director Mickey Arthur, head coach Grant Brad Burn and captain Babar Azam on Wednesday.

On the other hand, former cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz has written a letter to Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, asking him not to make changes in the main portfolios of the board.

He said that the continuity of the appointment of Zaka Ashraf is vital for improving the performance of the team.
