PDM gives government deadline to resign till January 31

LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) on Monday gave the government deadline to resign till January 31.

Addressing a press conference after a meeting at Jati Umra, PDM chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that the opposition lawmakers will hand over their resignations to their leadership.

"A long march will be launched if the government did not resign till January 31. We start preparations from today," he declared.

Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that talks can be held if the afresh elections are announced after dissolving the assemblies. "On Sunday, a historic meeting was held in Lahore," he said.

PML-N vice-president said that she had not seen such a huge meeting in Lahore in her life. "Lacs of people participated in the meeting. The government is wailing over the success of the meeting. Lacs of people could not enter the Minar-e-Pakistan due to shortage of place," she maintained.

Maryam Nawaz said that no chair was vacant in the meeting despite severe cold.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that the PDM had presented its stance in the Lahore meeting. "Now it is time to start the long march and get the resignation of PM Imran Khan," he added.

During the meeting, the PDM leaders signed the 'Lahore Declaration'.
