RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) launched the protest movement against inflation from Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

The PML-N staged a protest demonstration outside the press club. The protesters chanted slogans against the government.

The speakers accused the government of being incompetent and anti-people.

They demanded immediate withdrawal of the increasing prices of electricity, gas and petrol. In Sargodha, the PML-N staged a demonstration on Lahore Road.

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that they would protest at D Chowk if inflation was not reduced.

"The government has not left the people to pay off the fee of their children, purchase sugar, medicine and flour. The country cannot afford these thieves. This incompetent coterie will have to go home," she added.

The PML-N also staged a token sit-in on Murree Road.

On the other hand, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto appreciated the workers for staging protest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A large number of workers belonging to the JUI-F and the PML-N attended the protest demonstration.
