ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has rejected the government's proposals of electoral reforms and use of electronic voting machine (EVM) in the next general elections.

Talking to the media after a meeting of the PDM leaders on Wednesday, PDM Chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehaman said that the EVM is an easy way to rig the elections.

"The election-thief selected government is imposed on the country. We reject each kind of legislation. The NAB and the FIA have become political institutions," he maintained.

The PDM chairman claimed that no one was more loyal to Pakistan than them.

Speaking on the occasion, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif said that Nawaz Sharif could not return without his complete medical treatment. "It is deplorable to do politics on the health of the three-time prime minister," he said.

He said that no failed leader like Imran Khan has come to the power in the history of the country. "Inflation has broken the backbone of the common man. Taxes are rife and the country is facing isolation due to incompetence of the government," he added.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the PDM and the PML-N want fair elections and rule of the constitution in the country.
