PDM won't exist further, can't say anything if a religious movement is launched: Sheikh Rasheed

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) will not exist further, adding that he cannot say anything if a religious movement is launched.

Expressing his views in 92 News Program 'Hard Talk' on Monday, he said that the prime minister is happy with the situation. "Assemblies are functional now. Hamza and Shehbaz will not use the language used by Maryam Nawaz," he added.

The minister said that the government now faces the only challenge of inflation and Prime Minister Imran Khan would overcome it. "We have made the visa process online after ending corruption. The passport duration has been extended to 10 years," he added.

Sheikh Rasheed said that an eagle squad comprising of 200 bikes had been constituted and pickets had been ended. "We are restarting 2425 – the ambulance service – in Islamabad," he added.

He said that 6,000 policemen would be added to the Islamabad police. "5,000 cameras have been installed under the Safe City project," he added.

He expressed the resolve to make Islamabad an exemplary city.
