PDM’s rally in Lahore: NACTA issues alert for possible terrorist attack

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The opposition coalition plans to rally in Lahore's Minar-e-Pakistan ground on December 13 as the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) on Thursday issued a threat alert for possible terrorist attack ahead of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally.

According to the NACTA, After failure in Peshawar, banned militant outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban is planning to carry out an attack on December 13 in Lahore.

The department has not named any specific city, which could be target of the attack, in the alert.

NACTA has recommended taking strict security measures at the gathering and “keeping an eye out for suspicious individuals”. It says terrorists have changed their strategy after targeting a madrassa in Peshawar where eight people were killed and over 125 wounded in a blast.
