Peace can’t be established in region without resolving Kashmir dispute, says PM Nawaz Sharif

NEW YORK (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that peace in the region cannot be established without resolving the Kashmir issue. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, he said: “Pakistan wants to resolve all disputes, including Kashmir, with India through dialogues. India puts condition for dialogues. Over 500,000 Indian soldiers are committing brutalities against Kashmiris.” Nawaz Sharif said that they are giving documents with regard to human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir to the UN secretary general. “Kashmiris should be given the right to self determination. A fact finding mission should be sent to the Occupied Kashmir,” he demanded. He said that Hurriyat leader Burhan Wani emerged as a new symbol of struggle. “Indian forces are using pellet guns on Kashmiris.” He said that he was ready to talk to India at each forum to stop the race of weapons. The prime minister said that differences among international powers pose a threat to peace in Asia. “Human sufferings have not mitigated despite prosperity in the world,” he maintained. The prime minister said that peace cannot be established without eliminating injustice. “We put the country on the path of the best economy during our tenure.” He said that Pakistan had been a target of terrorism. “Terrorists were provided help from abroad. Pakistan is a victim of sponsored terrorism from abroad. Our jawans and innocent people martyred in terrorist attacks. Every kind of terrorism, including state terrorism, should be ended,” he maintained. PM Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan is fully supporting the efforts for peace in Afghanistan. He said that Zarb-e-Azb is the biggest, exemplary and the most successful operation against terrorism in the world. The prime minister said that Pakistan is capable of becoming a member of Pakistan Nuclear Suppliers Group.
