Peaceful atmosphere is a result of sacrifices of army and people: COAS Gen Raheel Sharif

PESHAWAR (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has on Sunday said that the backbone of terrorists has been broken and they will not be allowed to escape. Addressing the concluding ceremony at Shandur Polo Festival on Sunday, he said terrorists will be chased to the end. COAS Gen Raheel Sharif said that peaceful atmosphere is a result of sacrifices rendered by the army and people. This journey of success will continue to support of masses. The COAS said that this festival is healthy for domestic and foreign tourism. He further vowed to continue operation against the terrorists for prolonged tranquility in the region. Army Chief said every sacrifice will be made for the defense of the motherland, adding that Pakistan Army has extended every possible help to the flood affected people. COAS Gen Raheel Sharif appreciated the organizers of the Shandoor Festival.
