Pending cases in Sindh courts increase to more than 1.5 million

KARACHI (92 News) – The number of pending cases in Sindh have increased to more than 1.5 million in 2015 due to the incompetence and week prosecution of the provincial government.

Despite repeatedly identifying, the Sindh government could not improve its prosecution system due to which the number of pending cases kept on rising.

According to a report released by the Sindh government, around 1,35,787 cases are pending in Sindh courts, while 20,327 new cases have been registered during the current year and only 21,583 cases were only disposed.

Law experts have declared prosecution responsible for the increase in pending cases.

On the other hand, the number of pending cases in banking and special courts are increasing continuously.
