LAHORE (Monitoring Desk) - Senior Journalist and Analyst Rana Azeem has said that the people are losing jobless and they are unable to make both ends meet due to inflation.

Talking to Anchorperson Yasir Rasheed in 92 News Programme 'The Last Hour', he said that innocent children are starving. "The government has thrown the people into the quagmire of price-hike and as a result, they will either commit suicide or become thieves or use another means under compulsion," opined Senior Analyst Rana Azeem

Rana Azeem said that the Karachi NA-24 by-poll is a matter of concern for political parties. "This election is people's no-confidence in politicians." He said that the by-election in 20 constituencies of Punjab is very important where the contest will be between the PTI and the coalition government.

PML-N leader Pervaiz Malik said that the economic conditions are very tough presently. "We are paying price for the irresponsible method through which Imran Khan ran the economy. Imran Khan had taken Pakistan to the situation like Sri-Lanka when he was ousted from the government. Our government is paying full attention to save Pakistan from bankruptcy," he maintained.

PTI leader Yasmin Rashid said that their government had not allowed the closure of people's business even in the difficult situation of COVID-19.

"An uproar was raised when we increased the petrol price by a few rupees. Now the petrol price has been increased by Rs84 per litre and the situation has gone from bad to worst. What should people do in this situation? The rulers should have signed a better agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) if we had not signed a better one," she argued.
