ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ruled that the people have been left to die like animals in Thar.

Hearing the case pertaining to death of children due to food shortage in Thar on Thursday, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed ruled that donkeys had been tied in hospitals. "There is no light in hospital, Medicine and x-ray machines are dream for the people," he observed

Reprimanding the Health secretary, the chief justice said that the court would order all secretaries to get medical treatment from government hospitals in Tharparkar and the person having good luck will survive.

The court ordered to fill up all posts in hospitals of Thar and banned the transfers. It ordered the Health Secretary to visit Thar and start departmental proceedings against absent doctors and other staff.

The court also declared the report submitted by the Health secretary unsatisfactory.
