People have given five-year mandate to govt, says Ch Pervaiz Elahi

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has said that the people have given a five-year mandate to the government and the PML-Q will not let the parliamentary traditions trampled by anyone.

He was expressed these views during a meeting with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Saturday. "It is right of each democratic government to complete the tenure for public service," he added.

Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi said that the meetings are part of the political process and the decision will be made after consultation. "Immediate steps should be taken to provide a relief to the masses. We are carefully monitoring the situation," he added.

Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said that the PML-Q leadership will hopefully find out a solution to the current situation.

He also called on PML-Q president Chaudhary Shujaat and inquired after his health.
