People strongly react to Rs7.30 per unit increase in power rate

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - People have strongly reacted to the Rs7.30 per unit increase in power rate, saying that they are already unable to pay the bills.

They said that inflation had already made life a hell for them. "The increase in eelctcirity bills will break our backbone."

They said that the power rate is so high that the common man is unable to light a single bulb. "Inflation has already snatched away bread from the people and now it has deprived them of electricity as well," they added.

They said that the government was killing the poor instead of giving them a relief.

Traders said that the increase in the power rate is tantamount to destroying the economy. They said that the increase would further affect the business activities. They appealed to the government to immediately end anti-people policies.
