CHARSADDA (92 News) – People staged a demonstration against long power shutdown in the city on Friday. People from all walks of life, including traders, participated in the protest. The protesters also blocked Peshawar-Mardan and Charsadda-Tangi roads. They also burnt tryres and chanted slogans against the authorities. They said that the authorities did not spare them from loadshedding even during the Eid days. They said that 14-16 hours power shutdown is the economic murder of traders. “Traders are being deprived of their livelihood,” they said. They announced to continue their protest until reduction in duration and shutdown is observed as per schedule.
