QUETTA (92 News) – The people are facing troubles as Naanbais continued their strike on second day (Monday) in Quetta. According to the reports, the Naanbais are demanding an increase in the price of Naan due to hiked flour prices. The Naan makers demanded that the district and federal government take note of the increased prices and allow them to raise the prices accordingly. Due to the strike of the Naanbais in the province, the residents are facing problems in getting the Roti and the Naan. Meanwhile, All Balochistan Tandoor Association president said that the price of flour has been increased more than Rs500 per bag. He demanded the concerned authorities to allow them to set price of Naan Rs30 as per hike in flour price. Earlier, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) had announced to revert it’s prior decision to increase gas prices of commercial ‘tandoors’ across Pakistan. SSGC rolled back the new rate which was announced to be at Rs 1283 per MMBTU (Metric Million British Thermal Unit) to the previously allocated Rs 738 per MMBTU.
