People were not expecting relief-giving budget due to govt’s performance: Naveed

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has rejected the federal budget presented in the National Assembly on Friday. Talking to the media, PPP leader Naveed Qamar said that the people were not expecting a relief-giving budget keeping in the view the performance of the government last year. “Owing to a decrease in the purchasing power as a result of inflation, it was being expected that the government will increase the salaries,” he said. The PPP leader said that the government had shown brutality and given no relief to the masses. “The budget has not discussed the matter of expenditures with the provinces,” he added. He said that the government employees will be able to make 10 percent less purchase this year. “The government has not given a relief to the people to deal with the situation emerging after coronavirus,” he added. PPP leader Shazia Marri rejected the federal budget, terming it anti-people.
