Pervaiz, Babar ordered to submit surety bonds over delay in NAB reference

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Accountability Court ordered former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and PTI leader Babar Awan to submit surety bonds worth Rs 0.2 million over delay in the proceeding of a NAB reference related to Nandipur Power Project. Accused Pervaiz Asharaf and Babar Awan appeared before the NAB court in the hearing of graft reference in Nandipur project filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Accountability judge Arshad Malik ordered both respondents to submit their surety bonds. Pervaiz Ashraf and Babar Awan are among the seven accused who have been nominated in the case. The other accused did not appear before court. The court adjourned the hearing until October 2 and summoned all the other accused for appearance in next hearing. Addressing to the journalist outside court, Raja Pervaiz said that he does not understand the logic for including his name in the reference. Now appearing before court, he assured to present arguments to prove his innocence in the case. He added that he has not seen anything in the case.
