Pervaiz Khattak records his statement in £190 million scam reference

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Former federal minister Pervaiz Khattak recorded his statement in the £190 million reference in Adiala Jail on Wednesday.

In his statement, the former federal minister said that this matter was not on the agenda of the cabinet and it was presented as additional agenda. “I and other cabinet members objected to the move. Documents with regard to money was presented in a sealed envelope,” he added.

Pervaiz Khattak said the former Adviser to the PM on Accountability Shahzad Akbar had told the cabinet that a huge money sent to the UK illegally had been caught, which would be returned to Pakistan.

The PTI founder continued to laugh when the statement of Pervaiz Khattak was being recorded.

The witnesses – former federal minister Zubaida Jalal and former principal secretary Azam Khan – did not appear in court.
