ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak has warned that strict action will be taken if the opposition violated the agreement inked with the government. Talking to 92 News, the minister said that they believe the agreement will not be violated. “The organizers of Azadi March deceived the government. We have signed a written agreement with the opposition. The Rahbar Committee had signed the agreement with the consent of Fazlur Rehman,” he said. Pervaiz Khattak said that they had not signed the agreement during the 2014 sit-in. “The media should tell the nation who is right and wrong,” he said. He said that it is a meeting of nine parties, which does not mean the entire country has joined the march. “They are enemies of democracy. We returned to our homes after the court verdict,” he said. The minister said that the march would damage the economy. “Under these circumstances, it is difficult to hold talks with the opposition,” he said. He said that the PTI had gained votes more than all parties in the 2018 elections.
