ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said Sunday that the news regarding national security was presented to the nation in the wrong way and the person behind this is being traced who gave this fake news. Addressing the media in Islamabad on Sunday, he said that during the initial investigation, he found a lapse on part Pervaiz Rashid as information minister, and hence, he was asked to step down for ensuring independent inquiry, adding that Pervaiz Rashid should have asked the newspaper reporter not to publish a false news story or he should have brought it to the notice of the government or the owners of the newspaper. The minister said that there has always been consensus between the civilian and military leadership to indiscriminately act against the non-state actors. “The civil and military leadership has consensus to expose the responsible in the matter to the nation because it is compromising the national narrative on non-state actors,” he added. Commenting on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s November 2 sit-in, Nisar said that the government will not let PTI to shut down Islamabad, adding that the government will ensure that all the educational institutions, trade centers, hospitals, offices, and roads remain open on November 2. The interior minister said that the government will not allow that political activists attack police and subject them to violence. He lauded the police for effectively enforcing Section-144 in Islamabad, and ensured the rule of law. Nisar said: “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is setting a wrong tradition by running a campaign against the federal capital. He said the persons arrested on charges of violating Section-144 in Islamabad and recovery of weapons from the protestors will be produced before the court.”
