ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the slain PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto had buried the politics of the 90s forever. Talking to the media after the statement of PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari on Monday, he said that the word of ‘revenge’ is not in the dictionary of Nawaz Sharif. About the issue of Dr Asim, Pervaiz Rashid said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had demanded a report in this regard. “It is not the power of the government to punish or acquit someone. It is power of the judiciary to punish someone. The government has neither done revengeful act against anyone nor will do it,” he said. The minister said that they respected Asif Zardari. “Wrong information has been conveyed to Asif Zardari. He (Zardari) is not an active politician whom against revenge be taken,” he said. Pervaiz Rashid said that Imran Khan wanted to escape from the by-election by declaring the Election Commission illegal. About a ban on the speeches of MQM leader Altaf Hussain, he said that the court order would be implemented at all costs.
