Pervez Khattak to move court against Fazlur Rehman’s statement about PM arrest

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Defence Minister Pervez Khattak has announced that he will move court against JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman's statement about the arrest of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that the statement about the arrest of the prime minister comes under rebellion. “The government is not so helpless that only 20,000-30,000 can topple the government,” he said. The minister said that it will be violation of the agreement if the participants of Azadi March marched advance. “The institutions will have to come forward if anarchy spread in the country,” he said. He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will be held responsible if any damage caused to the country. He claimed that he could bring more people than Azadi March from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “The notification about extension of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has been issued,” he said. Pervez Khattak said that the prime minister was himself was monitoring the situation. “All institutions, including Army, are on alert,” he said. He said that he hoped that the opposition would abide by the agreement. “The march has pushed the Kashmir issue behind,” he added. The minister said that the opposition had united in fear of the governments’ performance and delivery. “However, doors for contacts with the opposition are open. There will be no talk on the resignation of the prime minister,” he said. He said that the administration would take action if the agreement was violated.
