Peshawar District Council approves Rs 7.36b budget amid opposition protest

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The Peshawar District Council approved the Rs 7.36b budget for FY 2015-16 despite strong protest of the opposition on Friday. The opposition started protesting with the beginning of the meeting, saying that development program has not been included in the budget. The opposition members tore off the budget copies. The councilors belong to the treasury and opposition chanted slogans against each other.
