Peshawar Police Lines blast was a suicide attack: report

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Peshawar Police Lines blast was a suicide attack, said the preliminary investigation report submitted to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to the report, evidence of explosive material was found from the site. "The mosque roof collapsed due to the fall of the pillars that caused too much loss," it added.

KP IGP Moazzam Jah said that the explosive material weighing 10-12kg was used in the suicide attack.

"It was a security collapse and complete investigations will be held into the matter. We will also trace the facilitators. We will bring the responsible to justice," he added.

He said that 140 people had entered the mosque before the blast and a majority of them was policemen. "The process of profiling and identity of all people is underway," he maintained.
