Petition filed in LHC for public execution of Zainab's murderer

LAHORE (92 News) – The father of Zainab Amin, a six-year-old child who raped and murdered, has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) for public execution of his daughter's murderer. As per details garnered, the petition filed by the Zianab's father Amin Ansari in the Lahore High Court (LHC). In the petition, It was requested to the court that the murderer of his daughter to be hanged publically. It is also said that the all appeals of the killer has been rejected from the top courts. The petition further states that a public execution will give clear message of deterrence to everybody and that the murderer of Zainab should be given exemplary punishment so as to avoid any such tragedy in the future. The petition further says that according to Article 22 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), the government can carry out public executions if it is likely to create a deterrent effect. Earlier, the anti-terrorism court handed down death on four counts to the killer of seven-year-old Zainab who was brutally murdered after rape. The court also sentenced him life imprisonment and fined him Rs one million. Moreover, he has been sentenced seven years and fined him Rs 200,000 for throwing the body on the heap of garbage. Zainab was kidnapped on January 4 and her body was found from a heap of garbage on January 9. On February 12, charges were framed against the accused. The verdict was reserved on February 15. The accused had confessed to raping and murdering nine girls.
