ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was fighting for his political future on Wednesday after judicial investigators ruled his family had accumulated unusual wealth, with his allies denouncing the findings and vowing he would clear his name, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, seeking his disqualification.

The petition was filed in the Supreme Court by Mahmood Akhtar Naqvi in which he stated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gave benefit of his powers to himself and his children.

The petitioner stated that the prime minister made the most of his power for personal gains and family business while his children’s assets were found beyond means of their known sources of income.

The petitioner further blamed Nawaz Sharif for submitting forged documents in the court to hide his offshore wealth. The petition stated that the PM is no more eligible to hold the office.
