Petitions challenging Khawaja Asif’s victory in NA-110 rejected
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Supreme Court has on Thursday rejected petitions filed against Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on NA-110, Sialkot.
The petitions were filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Usman Dar and Independent candidate Arshad.
The election tribunal had earlier decided in favor of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Khawaja Asif, who had won in the May 2013 general elections in NA-110 Sialkot.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the petitions on electoral results of NA-110.
The bench issued its brief ruling and dismisses Dar’s appeal.
